When I was in my 20's in college I shot this nude photo. This one always reminded me of Botticelli's "The Birth of Venus". I wanted to paint it for 20 some years but couldn't paint nude's until I found a way to do it by revealing the beautiful form through line distorting the form and adding a rainbow of color which comes from within the figure as it rises from the water shedding all that binds her to that which has held her back.
Susan loves beauty and she seeks it out focusing through her camera lens or putting her brush onto paper or canvas. Susan's response to beauty is to try to the best of her ability to present what she sees in nature in a realistic style always trying to mirror what God has created, so those who wish to can possess an interpretation of what He has so perfectly created.
