Thank you Laurel, some people realize that St. Patrick stood atop an Irish hillside and banished snakes from Ireland. That's why I put the Emerald snake in the Kiss me I'm Irish Contest. Thank you for the Congratulations and the comment.

Thank you Angela I am not a fan of snakes either but this one was in a glass cage and a real beauty. The color was amazing. Thank you for the comment and the LFV. I thought about making a mask of it to wear for the covid cover. LOL

Hi Susan! You know....I can absolutely promise you that I've never seen a photo of a snake that I would even remotely think of the descriptive word, "Cute". And I've also never seen a photo of a snake that would classify it as an "animal portrait", but you've accomplished both with this one! The snake's brow and forehead seems to be wrinkled a bit comically, and his little eyes look to be looking directly up at you..and do NOT look like the normal 'beady and expressionless' eyes of a reptile! AND...then there is his cute little snout!! This is an amazing shot showing soooo much detail. I love it. It's in my favorites for sure! Voted!!

Susan Duda replied:

Julie, what a wonderful comment on this little Emerald Troublemaker, I am not very comfortable with snakes and don't find them "Cute" but somehow he seems harmless all snuggled in and his color is so beautiful. Thank you so much for the great comments and observations. I appreciate it very much, thanks for the vote and Favs too.

One of Susan's gift's is the ability to compose a pleasing composition into a work of art that you would be pleased to own. Susan also enjoys teaching art classes, her students range from 5 years old to 87 years old. Teaching people about art is every bit as satisfying as painting her own paintings.
